Here and Now

Haiku snapshots

Filled with heavy rains,
A lively creek foams around
Unmovable rock.

Water pouring down
From the grey and gloomy sky.
A heron flies by.

Icy blades of grass
thaw in rays of morning sun.
The spring is near.

Blackberry bushes
Spread their thorny tentacles
Invading the path.

A healthy young tree
freshly cut by a beaver,
what did you dream of?

Forest soaked in mist
hides my path.  I cannot see
beyond here and now.

Misty cone of light
Quietly falls on a tree
As I fall asleep.
